Manual driving within reach

It all clicks with practice.

There’s a lot to think about at first. That’s normal. I’ll help you work through it one step at a time, until the movements feel more natural and you’re more comfortable behind the wheel.

What we’ll work on together

  • Finding the clutch’s friction point

Get a feel for the clutch, balance it with the accelerator and practise moving off smoothly, first on level ground, then on a hill.

  • Changing gears smoothly

Learn when to change gear, how to shift up and down, and how to keep your driving smooth.

  • Feeling at ease in traffic

Practise right of way, junctions and roundabouts around Nyon, while staying aware of what’s happening around you.

  • Getting ready for your driving test

Build on what you’ve learned and work on the areas that need more practice, so you become more independent without rushing.

Got a
question?

A few answers before you get behind the wheel.

I’ve never driven before. Can I start in a manual car?

Yes. With a valid category B learner’s permit, you can start from scratch. We’ll begin with the controls and moving off, then progress at a pace you’re comfortable with.

What if I stall during a lesson?

That’s part of learning. We’ll take a moment to understand what happened, then try again calmly. You’re here to learn, not to get everything right the first time.

How do I book a manual driving lesson?

Lessons cost CHF 100 for 50 to 60 minutes. To book, message me on WhatsApp or call +41 79 937 99 49 with your availability and driving experience. We’ll confirm the time and meeting point together.

What should I bring to my first lesson?

Bring your valid category B learner’s permit and wear shoes that let you feel the pedals. If you don’t have your learner’s permit yet, check the canton of Vaud’s guidance (in French).
